Doesn't clean dishes

I bought this dishwasher to replace a Whirlpool dishwasher that, after 30 years, finally stopped working. I was hoping for performance equal to or better than the previous Whirlpool dishwasher. I am very disappointed.
The dishes don't get clean in this dishwasher. Yes, this dishwasher is quieter than the old, but that's because it's not cleaning. The old Whirlpool dishwasher was louder because it was forcefully moving water around, blasting away food particles. The new dishwasher just lightly tosses around water, in the vain hope that detergent alone will do all the work. The difference between the two dishwashers is like a thunderstorm versus a light rain shower. Needless to say, the light rain shower provided by the new dishwasher does not clean the dishes.
Secondly, the dishwasher runs significantly longer. The standard cycle runs nearly three times longer than the standard cycle of the old dishwasher. That's three times longer for dishes that are less clean.
The controls on the new dishwasher are all push buttons. There is nothing indicating how far along in the wash cycle you are. Nor is there any way to skip ahead (or back) in the cycle. Want to simply rinse a load? Sorry! Not possible. The old dishwasher had a knob that showed at all times where the dishwasher was in the cycle. And you could move it to whatever cycle you wanted. Want to rinse a load? Easy, simply move the knob to the rinse cycle!
The silverware drawer in the door is a nice feature and both the old and new dishwashers have it. Unfortunately, the new dishwasher has a redesigned silverware drawer that doesn't work nearly as well. It is much smaller, thus the silverware can't move around (not that the anemic water pressure has enough strength to do that anyway). And half of the dishwasher drawer is obstructed by the soap dispenser, so you can only put short items in that half.
Appearance: ugly gray plastic inside, annoyingly large Whirlpool logo outside.
I could go on but I'm out of space.
No, I do not recommend this product
