Absolutely terrible broke within 4 months

Horrific experience with this product. Within 4 months, the refrigerator and freezer were not cooling. Service person visited and determined the compressor was broken. Despite the fact that it is still under warranty, GE / Bodewell has spent weeks giving me the runaround™€"shipping giant boxes of parts to my apartment without telling me, scheduling different appointments, having me call 10+ different service departments, and still no one is able to fix it. I haven™€™t had a working refrigerator for almost a month. What is the point of a warranty if not that it prevents this kind of thing from happening? Terribly inefficient product and experience.

Leaky freezer door seal

The freezer door gasket leaked from day one. I called GE and a different gasket was mailed to me. The second gasket did not correct the leakage. I'm still going to call GE again, but don't have confidence a third one will work.

I've only had the refrigerator for 3 days and am pretty happy with this appliance. The temperature (3 as recommended by the manufacturer) is perfect. Beverages are nice and cold. The light in the refrigerator is nice and bright. Glass shelves look great. I do not like the deli drawer being in the middle as I have lost some space to store items and that is the reason that I gave it 4 stars. It really is 4 1/2 stars in my opinion.

Poor design. When letting the refrigerator door close on its own, the freezer door pops open from having poor seal on magnetic gasket. I went to Lowe™€™s and tested 2 of the same GE refrigerator on display and both freezer doors popped when the refrigerator door closed. This makes the unit run more often.

Refrigerator 40 degrees freezer 0. When I tried to adjust the feet, the left was frozen and when it broke loose it only spun. I put a small block of wood under it to adjust the height. I doubt it can be fixed. Sad.

Main door seal was defective from the factory , should have never been delivered to a store . A thorough inspection from ge would have saved me a lot of hassle , replacement fridge I got has a poor paint job or got rubbed by something!

We replaced our old GE refrigerator with this new one because the compressor was failing. The old one ran quietly, but the new one is much noisier. We can hear the fan blowing even when we are in the living room. We notice it most after it's been running and shuts off. The sudden quiet is very noticeable. I called the place we bought it from and told him about this and he told me that that's how the new ones run.

This is a basic refrigerator. I did not get mine with an ice maker, but you can add it. I did have the handles adjusted to the other side to work with my space. Overall after a few weeks, it seems like a nice item. Only negatives is that there is no light in the freezer, and only one light in the fridge itself. It also runs a bit louder than previous refrigerator.
